Vertascale SimpleSearch™ technology uses Hadoop MapReduce to analyze documents and construct an efficient disk based index. The index can be stored on any distributed file system, such as HDFS or Amazon’s S3 ®. A thin runtime client provides query capability against the index via simple query API’s and/or the integrated SimpleSearch application.
